Outside of Work

When I am not seeing patients, researching or sharing my knowledge, I love to be outdoors and exploring with my baby boy Benjamin, and my lovely husband, Juan. I may seem like a huge extrovert but I am truly an introvert at heart and need to recharge on my own!

Dr. Sarah Wilson, ND

Naturopathic Doctor, Founder, Medical Director

Prior to starting AWH Dr. Sarah maintained a busy, wait list only women’s health practice in Toronto, Ontario. She was sought out for her evidence-based treatments of weight loss resistance, PCOS, acne, endometriosis and other complex issues. Born and raised in Belleville Ontario, Dr. Sarah saw a need for comprehensive women’s healthcare in the area and decided to move closer to home to fill that need and raise her family. See below for more information on her story and experience.

I am passionate about helping women feel their best because I spent many years with brain fog, fatigue, constant digestive upset, an unpredictable period and unexplainable weight gain. These ‘undiagnosable’ symptoms prevented me putting myself out there, contributing all of the greatness I had to give, and from reaching my full potential. For me, it was visiting my first Naturopathic Doctor that changed my life, and I am on a mission to change the lives of other women! I know I am not alone in experiencing these symptoms, far from it actually. And I believe that no one should have to experience the frustration, and isolation, that comes along with not feeling at your best!

The Official Stuff

Prior to my four years at CCNM I attended the University of Guelph and obtained a degree in Human Kinetics and Nutrition and Nutraceutical Sciences. During my time at the University of Guelph had the opportunity to work in a research lab which ignited my passion for research. This has continued into positions with Ferring Natural Health and Wellesley therapeutics where I actively research digestive health from a number of perspectives. My passion for research has led me to develop an advanced understanding of the digestive system, immune system, metabolism and hormonal health. This understanding is applied to both my personal health and patient’s treatments and has gotten me to the state of health I currently experience.

My personal experiences have also motivated me to develop an appreciation for and understanding of modified diets, metabolic & hormonal chaos and most of all self love.

I am absolutely passionate about educating and am regularly presenting to professionals and members of the public on a variety of topics. I am on a mission to help all women get healthy, naturally, with Naturopathic Medicine. I do this not only by seeing patients but I am also a mentor to Naturopathic Doctors across North America with my professional program, Naturopathic Clinical Mentorship.

Outside of Work

When I’m not seeing patients or learning, I can be found in my garden, hiking, kayaking or generally spending time outdoors with my family and friends! I enjoy staying active with yoga and cooking up a storm.

Dr. Michelle Mussar, ND

Naturopathic Doctor

I graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2018 and from Laurentian University in 2014 with an Honours degree in Kinesiology. It was during my time at Laurentian that I discovered naturopathic medicine during an internship that opened my eyes to evidence based natural medicine and the profound impact it could have on patients lives. It ignited my own healing journey, which really enables me to connect with patients, and understand that treatment needs to be sustainable in order for it to actually work!

My goal is to educate, empower and support women with individualized care so that they can feel their best and show up in their lives. My clinical focus includes metabolic issues, women’s health and digestive health meaning I help women with brain fog, low energy, infertility, menstrual issues, anxiety, weight management etc.

Dr. Michelle is a professional member in good standing of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND), the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND). She is also in good standing with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario (CONO).

Dr. Micaela is a lifelong learner, but when she’s not busy learning new things you can find her in the kitchen creating new recipes, outside exploring nature or daydreaming about her next travelling adventure.

Dr. Micaela Gregory, ND

Naturopathic Doctor

Dr. Micaela’s interest in health and wellness began while completing her Honours Kinesiology degree at McMaster University. It was here where she developed a keen interest in the impact that nutrition and exercise play in health and development of chronic diseases.
During her studies she was also a fitness and spin instructor, and enjoyed inspiring others to be healthier, and most importantly, loved being a part of their health journey. She then pursued naturopathic medicine at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine to enhance her learning not only in nutrition and exercise, but in the importance of the mind-body connection and holistic health.
She discovered that true lifelong health lies in understanding the uniqueness of your body. She has now made it her mission to help other women better understand their bodies and what they need to feel and function their best. Whether it’s hormonal concerns, menstrual irregularities or weight management, she treats each patient holistically, taking into account their unique circumstances, challenges and goals to find a comprehensive treatment plan that leads to lasting change. She believes we are meant to live fulfilling and purposeful lives and that health is our most valuable asset in making that possible.

Dee Dorrance, CNP

Certified Nutritional Practitioner

Dee is a Certified Nutritional Practitioner (CNP) based out of her hometown Toronto. She graduated with first class honours from The Institute of Holistic Nutrition, one of North America’s premier educational institutes in the natural healing arts. Dee’s mission at AWH is a simple one: to help you feel healthy & empowered about food so that you can thrive in your home life and career. See below for more information on Dee’s story and experience.

As someone who has struggled with digestive and hormonal imbalance, from IBS to PCOS, I know what it’s like to feel frustrated and hopeless when it comes to food! It wasn’t until I found Holistic Nutrition that everything started to change. My constant bloat and discomfort started to go away, my period came back and my energy returned in full force. My healing experience with nutrition and other holistic health modalities is what led me to pursue a career as a nutritionist. Using the healing powers of natural food and medicine, I am passionate about helping you achieve your health goals without unnecessary restriction, guilt or shame.

I believe that food plays an integral role in the management of any health condition. My areas of specialty include, but are not limited to, digestive and hormonal health. Conditions I love to help manage are PCOS, endometriosis, fertility & prenatal care, hypothyroidism, fatigue, general digestive disturbances and more.

Outside of Work

When I’m not at the clinic or studying away, I love spending time with my partner, Alex and our dog, Bumble. I love to read, run outdoors, listen to podcasts (I’m always up for suggestions on what to listen to next!), work on crossword and jigsaw puzzles, or cuddle up on the couch and watch some Netflix! I love to laugh and am quite tenderhearted – yes, I’ll probably tear up if you show me a sad dog rescue video!

I am excited to be a part of your health journey and welcome you to our clinic!
