Outside of Work

When not busy learning or seeing patients, I can be found buried in a stack of novels with a hot cup of tea and a blanket, binge watching historical dramas, or out in the sun with a notebook and pen creating my own fantasy worlds. And yes, slathered in SPF!

Naturopathic Doctor

I am passionate about helping women achieve their best skin because I know what it’s like to feel ugly thanks to a zit. As a fellow adult acne sufferer, I have spent years dealing with breakout-prone, react-to-every-product sensitive, flakey, congested skin. The product graveyard under my sink — which includes everything from prescription options to DIY — can attest to my never-ending search for that “holy grail” fix. It wasn’t until I discovered naturopathic medicine that I realized issues like acne are far more complex than that.

My own experience of seeing my skin change after sorting out my period problems and bad diet and sleep habits made me realize that some skin concerns need more than just a topical solution. Sometimes, skin trouble is a symptom of a deeper internal problem. I’m on a mission to help women understand their skin, identify and manage those deeper internal problems, and minimize those product graveyards.

My clinical focus includes skin conditions like acne and rosacea, and the metabolic concerns that can create those issues like poor digestion, constipation, menstrual and hormonal conditions such as PCOS, etc. As a skincare nerd, I’ve also completed a medical aesthetics diploma program to help guide product and topical treatment choices. I know that skin has to be helped from both the inside and the outside, and I live for finding the ideal mix of topical and internal support special to each patient.
